Films For Good (Films For Good Foundation) is a charity set up to support the production of purpose driven films and media which seek to tell meaningful stories and convey important information for social benefit. Society continues to undoubtedly benefit from media such as documentaries, and the courageous filmmakers and creatives behind them, who are willing to tell powerful, unique, and beautiful stories which the big studios and corporate funded channels are often unwilling or unsuitable to support, especially in their development stages. Documentaries and other media like it, have the ability to inspire social change like nothing else, speak truth to power, inform us, change lives, save lives, create accountability, offer the public the transparency they seek, generate the public pressure needed to push for much needed social and policy change, compound the good work of other charities and remarkable individuals by highlighting and giving platform to their efforts, and so much more. Documentaries and similar media have the power to make society better, and we believe that a lack of funding in this space has resulted in not only the public being less aware of issues of global importance, but also prevented hundreds of potentially award winning films and media from ever making it past the goal posts, and has disempowered noble causes and disenfranchised talented filmmakers and creatives, especially youth, from ever finding and fulfilling their potential in the film and creative space, and benefiting from artistic expression. We believe the world needs more of these purpose driven films and media projects to be made for the benefit of us all, and the Films For Good Foundation is on a mission to bring these important stories to life and support and empower talented creatives.
